SDK
@maiaos/sdk is the only supported node-facing product-client boundary.
Desktop, native mobile, and the maia CLI consume it. The Tauri Desktop host
embeds an Expo web export, but Maia does not expose a standalone web control
client. Clients must not open a parallel node transport, read node storage, or
supervise runtimes. This page is not an SDK reference. The
SDK README
owns exports and limits.
Not a second grammar
The SDK validates envelopes, correlates responses, preserves structured
errors, and forwards AbortSignal cancellation. It does not start or stop the
node. Local discovery stays read/probe-only in the current desktop-owned
lifecycle.
Source-implemented candidate — callable current evidence
The typed local-node client exposes these source-callable operations. They are not implemented under the release-gated AGENTS meaning and are not product enablement:
statusandshutdown- project register, list, and show
- workspace list, show, and explicit repository attachment
- keyed
getReceiptand boundedlistReceipts(no payload) probeRuntimefor the Codex compatibility handshakecreateSession, listSessions, showSession, andlistSessionEvents
@maiaos/sdk/node is the first real adapter: explicit-endpoint or
connectLocalNode discovery over the private descriptor, with private-file
checks, one-MiB frames, eight in-flight requests, and a five-second deadline.
Source-implemented candidate — blocked
Exported and blocked. Not enabled:
startSessionsendTurnandshowTurn- the 13 macOS live-terminal methods
- the 12 local-v1 orchestration source-candidate SDK operations
showCurrentContext(Client-only, release-disabled source candidate)
Observer attach/check/detach/resync, controller renew, restart, delete, and mutation reconcile remain unavailable or inert. The SDK never spawns Codex or a terminal.
Planned
Not present as enabled SDK operations:
- remote HTTP/WSS transports
- live subscriptions and cursor helpers beyond explicit page contracts
- ADR-015 generated named methods, bounded
operations.list | show | invoke, Notebook operations, and the SDK-conformant injected Notebook bridge - Agent Session, Skill, Routine, Swarm, adapter, and observability operations
- Skill bundle recommendation, install, or sync
Unsupported
Browser, Expo, and mobile bundles must not import @maiaos/sdk/node. Windows
runtime probing stays platform_unsupported until process-tree ownership is
proven. No SDK method is implemented under the release-gated AGENTS meaning.
Next action
Read the SDK README,
then the CLI notes. Installed discovery remains the classified
maia help --json index, then maia help <family> --json.
The accepted catalog and Notebook contract is
canonical here;
no method or bridge described there is exported today.
The target graphical-client boundary is the
Desktop and mobile architecture.
